About Keri

Keri Morrison from Morrison Special Education Advocacy

As a special education educator, I’ve devoted my 24-year career to positively impacting families and students with unique needs. These years of experience have made me a strategic thinker, an experienced negotiator, and a supportive communicator for my clients.

My journey as a special education teacher began right out of college when I started working with students ages 14-22. It was an exciting start as I taught them vocational skills to lead them toward independence as they entered adulthood. Since then, I’ve proudly held a variety of titles:

  • Special Education Teacher

  • Special Education Team Chair

  • Special Education Coordinator

  • Special Education Administrator

But that’s not all. I’m a member of the Council of Parent Attorneys and Advocates (COPAA), and the Special Needs Advocacy Network (SPAN). I truly believe that to empower the families I work with, it’s vital that I stay up-to-date with special education laws, regulations, and procedures. So, I’m constantly attending trainings and seminars such as, most recently, the Federation for Children’s Parent Consultant Training Institute (PCTI) in 2022.

All my years as an educator have allowed me to perfect the art of negotiation while molding and honing my supportive and virtuous nature. I listen closely without judgment while exercising patience, which helps me be the best advocate and team member for you.

I know every child has unique needs, making them wonderfully special. Through a collaborative partnership, we’ll work together to perfectly shape your child’s future, ensuring they have the tools needed to succeed. Special education has been my passion for over two decades, and I can’t wait to work with your family next.
